The Lending Library in Your Pocket

Make the most of your downtime during the workday.

I have a long commute. I like to read. I had an iPad. Hated it. Too heavy, delicate, and bulky. Don’t really want to buy more technology. Lightbulb moment: I do lots of scrolling on my phone. What about adding books to the mix?

Try this: Open the iBooks app on your phone. You can download samples from books you’d like to read for free. It’s a great way to test drive a book with zero commitment. If you like what you are swiping through, click to buy and off you go.

Speaking of free, there is always your local library. If you have a library card (also free) download overdrive and you can access its digital collection.

Hi! I’m enjoying reading your thoughts and suggestions, Heath. I use only Overdrive on my phone to read books now. It’s so handy, because my phone is usually with me when I’m out. Keep your words coming!

Hi Renee! Thanks for the encouragement. Great to know you are a fan of Overdrive. I’ve tried to use it w/ my local library, but the book selection can be kinda skimpy.
