The Timeless Appeal Of Vacation Mindset

It’s time to plan your next getaway.

I hadn’t been on a plane in over two years. Global pandemics tend to have that effect. Now that I’m fully vaccinated, it was beyond exciting to plan a trip. That is when the vacation mindset kicks in. Opening your calendar and figuring out when you will be checking out is the first step in getting to that vacation state of mind.

My trip had me flying out of JFK. I arrived insanely early to the airport. Why? I don’t like to be rushed. I can take my time. This way I could check out the TWA Hotel and enjoy a quiet meal by myself. How often do I get to do this? Never. Hence, the early arrival. It also meant I could spend time soaking in the gorgeous architecture and take some pics.

You might not be traveling these days, but you could hop in the car or take a walk and treat yourself to an afternoon someplace you’ve been meaning to check out. It just takes a little planning and soon you’ll be in a relaxed state of mind.
